A group of people are sitting with their bags about to go on a trip of some sort. I see Jessica and she’s surrounded by her friends. They are all singing, remembering another trip they went on that I wasn’t a part of. I feel a little out of the circle but excited about this trip.
I follow Jessica into her work and I’m surprised that she works in a tiny cubicle. I would’ve thought that someone as high as her at Netflix would have her own office and think no wonder she wants to work from home. But her cubicle chair is top notch so I’m a bit jealous of that.
Jessica starts to put cream on her arm and offers me some. I think it’s concealer for some reason and went to put it on my face and she laughed at me and said it’s sunscreen and to please not put my face on her arm. I’m pretty embarrassed.
We all climb into a boat. Renard gets on a wakeboard behind the boat and starts doing flips, showing off for me. I grin at him, just full of love and happiness at his athleticism and seeing him try to impress me.
His brother Kevin is driving the boat. And he starts going faster and faster even though we are in the no wake zone of the river. Renard falls and loses the rope and he disappears into the water. We keep going and I’m screaming to stop and go back for Renard. Kevin ignores me. Everyone is ignoring me.
A man on the riverside comes out to yell that we are going 185 mph and to slow down. Kevin yells at him. We speed past. I can tell we are going to crash, the end is coming, and I run to the helm and put all of my weight on the throttle to push it down. Kevin throws me off of it to the deck of the boat. I can see his face, and it’s not the face of the Kevin I know in real life. It’s the face of a boy I went to elementary school with…who is now a middle aged man screaming in my face.
My alarm goes off.
